Inkblots for the Soul

Music comes from the soul, that stuff on paper? Just ink. But it's the stuff that tells you what's in the soul. This is my Inkblots, cuz i can't compose!! But hey it's "ink on paper" and i'm much better at writing!

Social Butterfly

It's the Christmas season and i haven't been home from 6:30ish to 10ish for the last 3 days. I went to the MV and Orem game on Tuesday and played with MV pep band. Dang are they wacky! Every time their team scored a free throw shot they yelled "WANG!". Don't ask me why, they tried to explain it, but I got very lost. And the Trumpets just made weird noises the entire time. But it was tonz of fun.
Then Wednesday i went to my friend, Jeremy's, house and played Unreal again. I think this time i was worse, but i don't know. Dan and i had one game where we sneaked around on 8 different levels of a tower, before he found me and won. But after Dan left, Jer and I played another game called Kingdoms. Which we totally kicked butt on. The computer player had no chance, our legandary characters destroyed what little life he had. Hee hee hee.
Then tonight, i went to a Marching Band Low Brass party. I'm the only girl in the Low Brass, so i'm there with, like, 10 guys. They were enjoying themsevles insulting each other while playing Super Smash Bros. Then we laughed at one another while eating cheetos and drinking pop. And then to end it for me (cuz the guys were having a sleepover), we played Dance Dance Revolutions. I haven't had that much exercise for months. And it felt good!
In case you've never heard of it, it's a game you play on a Gamecube or Xbox or whatever. Instead of hand held controllers, you have pads that you step on. You can play against another player or by yourself; you choose a song to dance to and then the game tells you where to hit the pad with your feet. The more you hit on time and correctly, the more points you get and you beat the other player. I was only on beginner, but i was kicking trash.
Popping more guys egos, one fulfilling night. With many more to come.

Messiah Sing-in

So every year at our Christmas concert, the Band, Choir, and Orchestra play Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. It's a great song and so when my friend, Dan, from MV invited me to go with him and his family to the Utah Symphony's Messiah Sing-in, I was very excited. I thought I knew something of the Messiah, but when Mr. Minert (Dan's dad) passed out the score I was suprised to find it was literally a BOOK!! Yeah.
Dan and I had a good time singing, even though our throats hurt afterwards. The program didn't have us and the soloists sing all of Messiah but I don't think I've ever sang that much in my life. If we had sang all of it, I wouldn't be able to speak today. And Handel wrote it in a month!! I wish I was that brilliant.

New

Well, i'm gonna post again, cuz Mavis and Terri are bugging me about old candy. Though i can't think of anything to write about.
I've learned that i'm not as good as i think i am at certain games. A friend kicked my trash at pool and Ping pong last weekend, and i got showed up at raquetball today at the gym. 12-21. Yeah.
Girls, agree with me here. Guys have huge egos. Harry Potter is a great example of this. Ron and Harry don't talk to each other for weeks, because of their egos. Course girls can do the same thing, but i'm inclined to think that we solve it much quicker by pulling hair or calmly talking. My friend Dan, doesn't think he's got a huge ego, but that's only because it gets popped often. :D
